Module · Analytics

Who came, from where, and what they did next.

Visits, pages, sources and the events that matter to your business — a booking request sent, a product added, a form completed — counted on your own domain, with no third-party script and nothing sent to an ad network.

Included on Standard and Business. ⁨$20⁩ a month on Lite.

What gets counted

Page views are the least interesting number. The events are the business.

Your site tells Analytics when something happened — a booking request sent, an order placed, a lead scored, a stamp earned. Those are counted alongside visits, so the question is never “how many people came” but “how many did the thing”.

It is one call from your site to one endpoint, wired during the build. Switching a module on does not start its events flowing by itself — the page that does the thing has to say so.

Sources

Which channel sends people, and which sends customers.

Search, social, direct and referrals, each with the visits it brought and the events those visits produced. So you can see that the channel with the most traffic is not always the one with the most bookings, and put the next hour where it works.

Search queries themselves are not here — if SEO is connected to Search Console, they sit on the SEO page beside the pages they belong to.

No cookie

Counted on your own domain, so nobody has to click Accept.

Analytics runs on Helm's own servers. There is no cookie, and no visitor IP address is stored in your analytics.

No cookie

Analytics sets no cookie. The browser holds one session key for as long as the visit lasts, so five pages count as one person rather than five, and it goes when the tab closes. What that means for a consent banner is your call, with your own adviser.

No third-party script

No tag manager, no pixel, no extra request to someone else's server. The page loads as fast as it did before Analytics was on.

What a visit row carries

A visit row carries the page, the referrer, a coarse location, the device and the browser. No name, no email, and no identity that survives the day — unless the visitor is signed in, and then it is their own record.

How you get it

On your plan, or add it

Included on the plans below, and purchasable on its own if your plan does not carry it.

Counting starts the day it is switched on. There is no history to import.

Before you start

What this does not do, said now rather than later.

It is not Google Analytics

No sessions, funnels, cohorts or custom dimensions. If your marketing team needs GA4, put GA4 on the site — Helm does not stop you — and use this for the questions you actually ask on a Tuesday.

It does not track an anonymous visitor

For a visitor who is not signed in there is no profile and no identity that lasts beyond the day. For one who IS signed in, their last pages appear on their own customer record — which is the point of user accounts, and worth knowing before you promise a visitor otherwise.

No history before the switch

Counting starts the day Analytics is turned on. There is nothing to import, and the first week will look like a first week.

One switch

One switch, and tomorrow has a number.
