Module · Courses
Lessons on your own domain, for the people who bought them.
Video and text in the order you set. You open the course on someone's account, they sign in to your site, and they pick up at the second they stopped.
Switched on per account rather than bought. Plans start at $20 a month.
Lessons
Video and text, in the order you decide.
A lesson is a video, a written page, or both. Group them into sections and order them however you teach it. Publish, and it is on your domain behind the login.
Video is hosted for you — you upload the file and it plays. A YouTube or Vimeo link works instead if you would rather.
Who can open it
Access is a grant, and it is one click.
The course sits in your catalogue with a price and what it opens. Opening it is yours: one click on the buyer's record once they have paid you, or a call from whatever you took the money with. Either way it lands on the same row, so “should this person see this” has an answer.
The catalogue appears by itself the moment the module is on, because that is the point at which you have a kind of thing to sell.
Progress
They pick up where they stopped, to the second.
Every lesson a learner opens is a row with a status, the position they reached in the video, and the moment they finished it. Come back a week later and the player is where they left it, and the course reads as the fraction of it they have done.
Worth saying plainly: that record is the learner's own. Helm does not yet give you a cohort view — there is no screen showing you how far each person is, or where most of them stall.
How you get it
On your plan, switched on for you.
Courses is switched on per account rather than bought. It is not an add-on with a price of its own — your developer turns it on when your project is set up.
Courses needs user accounts, which is switched on alongside it during setup.
